Firefly generally uses the following products in a system designed for Plywood mills:

Glow Detector (GD)
The GD 400 detector can be used for monitoring pneumatic conveyer systems and chutes. For protection of risk zones where material occurs in dust clouds, e.g. filters. This detector recognises sparks, hot particles and flames from 400°C (752°F).
Water Mist nozzle
This water nozzle sprays fine water particles. Its capacity is 10 litres/minute and it has a 180° spraying angle at 6 bar.
Control Unit (CUE)
Each protection zone is controlled by a control unit type CUE. The CUE has a self-diagnostic function, battery backup, flexibility and is user friendly.
Trend Detector (TD)
The TD 250 detector can be used for monitoring pneumatic conveyer systems and chutes. For protection of risk zones where material occurs in layers (e.g. storage silos) and also where material has fairly low ignition temperature. This detector recognises sparks, hot particles and flames from 250°C (482°F).
Water Spray nozzle
Water nozzle of full cone type. This nozzles capacity is 50, 75 or 90 litres/minute and it has a 110° spraying angle at 6 bar.
Master Unit (MUE)
It is possible to connect several control units type CUE to one master unit type MUE. The MUE is used to present information centrally. The MUE has a self-diagnostic function, battery backup, flexibility and is user- friendly.
Flame Detector (FD)
The FD detector is designed for flame detection in enclosed volumes.
Isolation Valve (FIV)
The Firefly isolation valve type FIV has a guillotine design and is intended for installation on pneumatic transport systems. The valve is available in different designs and dimensions up to Ø300 mm. The FIV valve is often used in dense phase environments.
PlantView
Firefly is proud to present PlantView in combination with the master unit type MUE. PlantView uses SCADA (Supervisory Control And Data Acquisition) technique and provides you with a graphical overview of your process. In case of alarm, you will quickly be able to view where the problem is located and act accordingly.

Multi Detector (MD)
The MD detector can be used in enclosed volumes. It is especially designed for detecting whirling ignition sources.
Isolation Valve (SV)
The Firefly steam valve type SV/PS is suitable for steam pressures from 10 to 69 bar. It has a full bore and is available in DN15-DN80. The valve is designed for welding or flange mounting direct into the steam line.
Temperature Gradient Detector (TG)
The TG detector reacts to unplanned temperature changes in a production process. It can be pre-set at a number of alarm levels for different temperatures and temperature transients.
Open Area Detector (OAD)
The OAD detector detects flames in open areas. By combining ultraviolet (UV) and infrared (IR) wavelengths, this detector will efficiently recognise flames. At the same time, other energy sources such as lamps, sunlight or even arc welding are discriminated.
