Solutions for the Recycling Industry

Recycling can involve everything from paper and wood to different kinds of waste. Firefly has developed the following solutions for optimising safety in the recycling industry:


Protection of Purpose How

Crushers/Screeners

To detect and extinguish sparks/hot particles and flames after the crusher and in the screener.

Using fast IR sensors that can detect sparks and hot particles and eliminate them before they create a problem. Extinguish with water spray.

Storage

To detect sparks/hot particles in the falling chute at the inlet of the silo to avoid storage fires and explosions.

Using fast IR sensors that can detect sparks and hot particles and eliminate them before they create a problem. Extinguish with water spray.

Boiler

To detect and extinguish sparks/hot particles and flames transported from the burners back into the process flow.

Using fast IR sensors that can detect hot particles/flames and eliminate them before they can reach longer into the process flow.
