The food industry cannot be generalised as it contains a wide range of processes. One thing that is common for the food industry are that the materials are fine, dry, and in most cases organic which can in the worst case ignite and explode if an ignition source is present in a layer or within a dust cloud.
The codes for the food industry are very strict on the use of any equipment. Firefly tailors a protection system to accommodate these parameters. That's why stainless steel and other food approved materials are used.
Firefly uses data from the U.S. National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) to determine the ignition point relevant for your process. We then design a protection system appropriate to the risk and your specific process.
